Episode 65: A Forest and a Hard Place

This week Caitlin, Rachel, and Emmy discuss The Two Towers, Book Three, Chapter 7: Helm’s Deep.

Characters

  • Gandalf – a wizard up to his old tricks.
  • Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas – the three hunters, still trucking on.
  • Théoden – King of Rohan
  • Éomer – Théoden’s nephew
  • Háma – Rohan’s MVP
  • Gamling – a Rohan Soldier
  • Ceorl – A Rohan soldier
  • Erkandbrand – Master of the Westfold, lives at Helm’s Deep.

Here is the same map as last week about the area of Rohan they were riding through, and then turned for Helm’s Deep. Something I forgot to bring up in the episode is that the White Mountains that Helm’s Deep is nestled in, are technically part of the Mist Mountains but separated from them by the Gap of Rohan, thus they get their own name.
