Episode 07: The Oathiest of Oaths; The Speechiest of Speeches

Join Caitlin, Rachel, and Emmy as we discuss Chapter Nine of the Silmarillion, Of the Flight of the Noldor.

Characters

    • Finwë – Ambassador/King of the Noldor/Fëanor’s Father
    • Fëanor – Son of Miriel and Finwe. Creates the Silmarils. Has a bitter hatred of Melkor.
    • Fingolfin/Finarfin – Fëanor’s half brothers. Their sons are also talked about in this chapter (their wives are never mentioned, of course)
    • Olwë – Lord of the Teleri, younger brother of Elwë who was the first Lord of the Teleri. Elwë stayed in Middle Earth and became known as Thingol.
    • Manwë – King of the Valar
    • Varda – Queen of the Valar, Lady of Stars
    • Nienna – the Mourner
    • Mandos –  Lord of the Halls of the Dead
    • Melkor – Evil Dude. AKA Morgoth
